aximmetry eye camera:can't keep latency

Hi, I got two problem when using aximmetry eye in the news room demo scene.

1. Can not keep latency in the messages, but the performance is good, restart the app may help for a while, and the message show again.

aximmetry eye camera:can't keep latency

2. After the synchronization of virtual and live graphics is calibrated ,the tracking delay comes to 14 frames , that's too much for a tracking system, and the delay may not be a fixed value during my test.

Looking for your advise,thx

Warm regards

Dan

14 frames of latency isn’t that much when streaming both video and tracking data from an iPhone. Are you using a wired connection or via Wi-Fi? Wired is always recommended if you require a stable connection.

Thanks for your imformation.  I am using it via wifi, and i will try a wired connection next time.

How about the Can not keep latency problem. I always got this message in different  tracking scene. Add delay in Video input setup or optimize the scene may solve the problem, but may not .  But this time the scene is a demo scene of aximmetry itself, and i have already add the delay to 8 frames as custom option, still got the message, What else could be causing this problem?

If Aximmetry doesn’t receive frames from the camera in time to keep a smooth frame rate, it will show this message. So if your network is too slow to send video from the phone at the specified frame rate, resolution and bit rate, you will get this message. Also, your phone definitely isn’t genlocked, so don’t choose that option.

Another reason you would get the Can’t keep latency message is if your GPU/CPU is overloaded, so that they can’t render frames in time. If ThatS the case with your Aximmetry demo scen, there is definitely something wrong with your system, since it should render with ease on any suitable system.

Hello, I hope you are very well.

I have the same problem with the latency message...

I get the following message:

can't keep latency

(this appears in the messages as an error in red for the camera and for the tracker that I am using) when these messages appear the image rendered in real time stays stuck and seconds later it is OK again but it is read the error message and it is OK again.

The CPU/GPU percentage is 50% and does not go beyond that.

I am using a MOSYS tracking system

1 1GBPS router

1 GENLOCK for the entire system

1 blackmagic ursa 4.6k camera

Working with the aximmetry AR test chart project

I'm using a wired connection, and the delay goes to  a normal value.

Maybe you try to set a large value of the in to out latency in preferences- Video input .

Hi Juan,

It appears that your inquiry differs from the original post, which was focused on Aximmetry Eye. Instead, you are experiencing issues with a Blackmagic URSA camera, specifically latency messages when using this camera as an input in Aximmetry. Your problem may, therefore, be very different from that of the original poster.

First, I recommend trying to increase the  In-to-out Latency setting to fix this issue. If this does not resolve the problem, please clarify whether you still receive latency messages when not using Genlock. Additionally, could you inform us which capture card model you are using?

To further diagnose the issue, consider testing your camera input using only one Video Input module in Aximmetry. This will help determine if the problem is related to your project or a specific setting within your camera compound. Also, try to use the AUTO camera mode:

The AUTO camera mode option is also available in the camera compounds INPUT panel.

Warmest regards,
