camlink pro

Hey, I have a problem with the Camlink Pro video signal in Aximmetry DE. It's not clean and seems to have a framerate drop in Aximmetry, but it's alright in other apps like OBS. Is there any solution? I know the best case scenario is Decklink, but I'm on a low budget now and don't want to buy it. I just have this problem in Aximmetry; other apps work fine.

Don't quote me on this, as it's been a long time I haven't used a camlink (not pro) but I seem to remember that it worked back then.

The main issue however, was that the colours were subsampled and very compressed (4:2:0, 8 bits) so that keying wasn't great.

From what I can see the Pro version also is only 4:2:0, 8 bits.

I guess it's ok for keying a streamer with a helmet and a gaming chair behind, but for fine hair detail, it didn't cut it for us.

For a 1 in/1 out hdmi card, the BlackMagic Intensity 4K card is great and goes up to 4:4:4 10 bits (depending on the source of course). At 30 fps max  instead of 60, however, but if you're doing broadcast and aximmetry, that's all you need.

This being said, are your card fps and your project fps the same ? There might be issues to keep up if the frame rates don't align, and since the camlink can do 60 fps, and your project is 25 o 30 it could stress the system.
