Input from Decklink flickering

Hi guys,

we try to use Aximmetry Pro (DE) for our video workflow.

Sadly our only input is turning black every 2-3 minutes so it looks like a short flicker.

The flickering is seen on the preview in Aximmetry Composer as well as on the video switcher multiview so it does not look like an issue with the output.

The input comes from a Blackmagic Studio Camera Pro 4K which is set to 1080p30. The signals is captured via SDI by a Blackmagic Decklink Duo 2. The Blackmagic Video Setup is showing the 1080p30 as an incoming signal.

My Aximmetry runs as Administrator and is set to render 1080p30, the video input #1 is mapped as the only input.

I use the third port as an output into our video switch which shows the described flickering on the input. The output is set to 1080p30 as well. I tried the sync option enabled and disabled.

GPU is around 51%

CPU is around 11%

FPS show 30.0 constant

VMem shows 5%

SOMETIMES (not always) I do get the following message in the log when the flickering occurs:

[Scheduler / Blackmagic: Decklink Duo (3)] VBlank timing overslept

[Blackmagic Decklink Duo (3)] Blackmagic: Decklink Duo (3): 1 frame(s) missed

This message seems to be output related but as I said the flickering is seen on the preview in the Composer as well.

The system seems to be well fitted, the signal is very stable when attached to the video switcher directly.

I appreciate any help I can get!

Thank you!

Hi,

Make sure you use the latest Blackmagic Desktop Video. You should also make sure that the connectors are setup correctly in the Desktop Video, more on that here: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/742-blackmagic-decklink-duo-2-can-i-use-3-inp

If it is still flickering, do you experience it with other programs too, like OBS?

Warmest regards,

Thank you for your reply.

the flickering appears in Blackmagic Media Express as well so I guess it's more of a Decklink/motherboard issue.

Thank you
