Paint modules themselves are for programmatic drawing of 2D geometries. They can be transformed hierarchically via the Paint Node module very much similar to the Scene Nodes in 3D. The "camera" here is the Paint View module.
Paint modules are rarely used in standard applications since it's more GPU-efficient to use texture images where possible.

What are you interested in are the Draw modules which implement a basic hand drawing system in Aximmetry. They're both linked to the Paint and to the Touch system.
