We have been using the Aximmetry DE version.
We have been using the Aximmetry camera calibrator tool for our projects to calibrate camera and lens. However, we are facing a challenge when trying to calibrate a lens without zoom. Every time we attempt lens calibration, the process starts with zoom, preventing us from proceeding to iris and focus calibration.
Could you please guide us on how to calibrate a lens without zoom using the Aximmetry camera calibrator tool?
We appreciate your assistance and look forward to your prompt response.
The calibrator asks you if you have a fixed or zoom lens ant the start of the lens calibration process. You still have to do one round of zoom calibration for a fixed lens, since this will determine the lens distortion and field of view. With a variable zoom lens (with an encoder) you’ll have to do multiple calibrations across the zoom range.
