Virtual Shadow Map Page Pool overflow

 

Hi,
Here is the message aximmetry broadcast DE give on a AR project.
i don't understand what does it means.
Any help please ?

[LogRenderer] Virtual Shadow Map Page Pool overflow (1 page allocations were not served), this will produce visual artifacts (missing shadow), increase the page pool limit or reduce resolution bias to avoid.

 See r.Shadow.Virtual.MaxPhysicalPages (4096), r.Shadow.Virtual.MaxPhysicalPagesSceneCapture (512), r.Shadow.Virtual.ResolutionLodBiasLocal (0.00), and r.Shadow.Virtual.ResolutionLodBiasDirectional (-1.50)

This looks like a warning message from Unreal, so not directly related to Aximmetry. The warning message even gives suggestions for things to tweak in the config file or via executing console commands in the Level Blueprint.

Hi, 
the visual artefact is that shadows don't update over time , the looks like big square.

i solved my problem.

i disable the virtual shadow Maps.
in UE5.2.1 : Project settings -> Engine Rendering -> Shadow Map Method -> Shadow Maps. = no shadow log message and no visuals artefacts.

To Aximmetry support : GPU and CPU load is better now by 10%.
