Inconsistent renders Unreal with camera tracking

So we are rendering the same sequence several times from recorded tracking data. However, occasionally a frame has a slightly off camera perspective in one of the renders. Even though the renders use the exact same tracking data / Xdata and no settings are changed!

How can we fix this so the renders always line up correctly each frame?

Hi Jim,

You will need to use a fixed frame rate in the Video Recorder module of Aximmetry.

Also, do you have anything turned on that would smooth out the tracking data, for example, the Tracking Dejitter in the Inputs?

Warmest regards,

Hi Eifert,

the project, tracking system, recorded clip all have the same 23.976 fps. It’s all timecoded and genlocked. Is that what you mean?

no smoothing or dejitter is turned on. What seems to happen is that Aximmetry randomly freezes a frame so that next frame is the camera perspective of the prior frame even though there is tracking data. Which frames get frozen is inconsistent. So that each renderer gets a slightly different results with images not lining up.

Hi Jim,

You can set a specific Frame Rate in the Video Recorder module: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/setting-up-inputs-outputs-for-virtual-production/video/recording/how-to-record-camera-tracking-data/#offline-rendering

If you are doing post-production renderings, then you should almost always use a specific Frame Rate instead of realtime.

Warmest regards,

We just checked the frame rate was already correctly set to 23.976 in the video recorder node.

How can we get this fixed?
