If you turned off the Billboard by turning off Use Billboards:

Then this is a kind of expected behavior, as you are going to use the raw camera footage and there will be no virtual placement of the billboards. Instead, the rendered virtual world is placed behind the camera footage.

If you really want this to have a different resolution, then you could put a Placer module here in the Inputs of the tracked camera compound:

Ok sounds illogical that when billboard is turned off the rendering resolution suddenly changes and the project resolution gets ignored.

Those are the non tracked cameras though right? Do they have an influence on the tracked camera?

The picture is from tracked cameras. And this is how you should turn off Billboards in your case. Sadly, the Use Billboards pin name can be a bit misleading.

I am pretty sure we were using that “graphical” button to turn the tracked camera billboard off. But it was changing the resolution. We will try again maybe?
