how to use camera rocker with tracking system in Aximmetry

Hello:

I would like to ask how to use camera rocker with tracking system in Aximmetry DE?

I checked the documentation but couldn't find any relevant introductions

What should I do to use it in the LED scene?

I also want to ask what kind of camera calibration should I use

Is it 6DOF or PTZ? When I used 6DOF for camera calibration, I found that my camera arm could not move to the specified position for calibration

What camera and tracking system are you using? A PTZ only tracks Pan/Tilt/Zoom, you can’t move the actual head in 3D space since it doesn’t track 6DOF. If you have a proper camera tracking system (not PTZ) you need to calibrate 6DOF.

Hi,

There is a way to have two tracking devices and have their values automatically added together. This is a lesser know feature and sadly the documentation doesn't yet contain this.
You could have your camera rocker or arm as the 1st tracking device and the PTZ tracking as the 2nd tracking device.

Basically, you add the 2nd tracking device as a Camera Tracking in the Manage Devices:

But everywhere else you will set the Zoom Device as the 2nd tracking device.
You can do this by first setting it as Tracking Device and then copy-pasting its value to the Zoom Device field:

After this, you change the Tracking Device to your 1st tracking device.

Warmest regards,

Hi,

I got it! However, it will cause an issue with multi-machine, since we use 2 machine in LED wall project rn. And the satellite machine can only recive 1 calibration file, how should I deal with it?

Best Regards,

Hi,

I don't know how satellite machines could not receive more than 1 calibration file. If you have the calibration file in a shared folder over the network, then you can use any calibration files in it on any satellite machine.
Also, one calibration file should be enough, as you could do the calibration with the camera rocker and PTZ included.

Note, in LED Wall multimachine, all video inputs are handled by the control machine. And the rendered LED Walls can be divided into separate machines.

Warmest regards,
