Unreal Editor for Aximmetry - Try rebuilding from source manually Error

When launching Unreal Editor for Aximmetry with an existing project that was working fine, we get the following error now. No software was changed.

We then click yes, and get the following error:

How can we get this fixed?

We had tried to re-cook the scene earlier today and it failed. Was working before.

but Unreal Launcher had auto-updated to 4.27.2 somehow

How can we get this working again?

Is there a way to revert from Unreal Engine 4.27.2 to 4.27.1? Or is there an Aximmetry unreal installer for 4.27.2 we could use? The install is broken and no longer compiles the project.

It’s very unlikely that the 4.27.2 update to the standard Unreal would cause this issue. Point release updates are compatible with each other and I’ve moved projects freely between the Aximmetry UE4 editor and the standard UE4 editor many times, even when they were on different point releases. I would record migrating the level from your “broken” project to a fresh, empty project. Deleting all intermediate files also helps in many cases.

Thanks for the reply.

what would be the best steps to migrate and recover the levels to a new project?

Create a new empty project (make sure it has the default Aximmetry settings). Open your existing project and find the Level in the content browser. Right click the level, select Migrate and select the content folder of your newly created empty project. This is standard Unreal stuff, so you should be able to find a lot of information on the topic if you Google it.

The existing project no longer opens, how do we migrate content then to the new project?

It doesn’t open in the regular Unreal Editor either? If it does, just open it there and migrate .

You could also delete all intermedia files of your Unreal project to force it to rebuild them. Basically just keep the settings and your assets folders.
