Hi,

Since 2023.2.0 you can not embed audio into SDI using the Audio Out module. To do so, you need to use a Video Out or Video Device Out module. Note that these modules' Audio pin is not visible by default, you need to click on the 3 lines to make it visible:

You can also expose audio under the video on the right side of the Flow Editor. This way the audio will be included in that output index: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/scripting-in-aximmetry/flow-editor/flow-editor/#exposed-video-output-index

Warmest regards,

Hi,

The Video Out module will connect to the output index. And you can connect and output index to a device in the Video Outputs window.
While the Video Device Out will connect directly to a device.

With the Video Out module, you should do the following:
  • set an index for the output you're trying to use under Video Outputs
  • insert a Video Out module into the flow and connect both the video and audio to be output
  • set Output Index on the Video Out module to the one you selected in Video Outputs module
With the Video Device Out module, you should do the following:
  • it is advised to remove indexing from the Video Output you're trying to use - to avoid ambiguous, overlapping outputs
  • insert a Video Device Out module into the flow and connect both the video and audio to be output
  • select the Device and Mode on the Video Device Out module where you would like to output your mixed signal
  • according to the images, make sure that Mode is set to 1080p25 to avoid performance drops caused by higher resolution

There are various ways to put together a flow in Aximmetry that is similar to a multiplexer. For example, you can use the Switch Audio module to change between different audio sources. In the case of output, most people just use the Video Outputs window with different output indexes, but of course, you could run that too from the flow editor and skip the whole Video Outputs window. For example, you can switch between different devices using a Switch Text module:

Aximmetry Version 2023.2.2 has been released on Monday of this week. The new version has performance fixes, so you should download it and see if you still experiencing a performance change when connecting out the audio.
If there is still a performance issue, then can you send some screenshots of the wiring of audio in the flow editor of Aximmetry?

Warmest regards,
