Tracking Calibration Problem

Hello,

I have the calibration board by Aximmetry. There's no particular problem when I have to calibrate the lenses, but when I need to calibrate the tracker the board is just too big if you have like a 70+mm lenses, and I can't find a way to use the little calibration board on the other side, like for the Lens Calibration.

How do you calibrate the tracker when you have such a lens?

Thank you

Hi,

The little calibration board can only be used for lens calibration currently. But we added this to our request list and we will consider adding it in future releases.
Until that, you could use a lens with less than 70mm on the camera, and calibrate tracking with that first. And then switch to the 70+mm lens on the camera and do the lens calibration.

Warmest regards,

Aren't the steps involved to be first lens calibration and then tracking calibration?

Hi,

I am sorry, I was quite wrong. Yes first do the full calibration with the less than 70mm lens. Then you do only the lens calibration with the 70+ mm lens.

Then you copy the DeltaHeadPos="0, 0, 0" DeltaHeadRot="0, 0, 0" TrackingCalibrated="True"  values from the less than 70mm lens calibration file into the 70+ mm lens calibration file.
Note, since the calibration files are stored in XML text formats, you can easily open them with any text editor:

Warmest regards,
