From the perspective of the Aximmetry shader system there's no direct benefit using these since no properties of these materials will be exported.
However if you use VRay you can render light maps that can be used in Aximmetry similarly as described in the tutorial.
As we know Arnold do not support rendering lightmaps, so there's no use of it for us.
So to summarize, if you want to use spectacular lightmaps you can use VRay.
