Right way of routing audio

Hey everyone, our setup is the following:

Camera -> Through SDI to Blackmagic Decklink -> Aximmetry -> Output through SDI to Streaming computer Blackmagic Decklink-> VMIX

Audio is simply routed into the VMIX Streaming PC.

Our issue is that through this worflow our audio latency is sorta moving all over the place.

The scenes are rendered out just fine in Aximmetry, running at steady 25p.

This issue only happens when inlcuding Aximmetry in the chain.

What are the best practices for this?

Genlocking? Any other solution?

Thanks!

Hi,

If your scene has performance issues and can not keep up with the set frame rate, then the audio latency can fluctuate. There is also another issue, which is discussed here with some possible solutions: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/2232-how-to-reset-increasing-audio-offset

The next version of Aximmetry will fix these issues.
We apologize for the inconvenience these issues are causing and appreciate your patience.

Warmest regards,

Hi,

We're excited to share that the latest version of Aximmetry, version 2023.2.0, has been released today!
The new version revamped the input and output timing system, providing stronger protection against frame drops and audio issues. It should also fix the changing audio latency problem.
