synchronizing two videos and camera paths with sequencer

Hi,

I'm trying to do the following:

I have two videos (one is the talent) and the other one is a recorded power point presentation (that i have in a screen). I have synchronized both videos using a pin collector, so that when I press play both start at the exact time and I have both the recorded talent and the presentation synchronized.

Now I want to pre-record all the camera paths using sequencer, so that everythingthing runs synchronized once i press play.

My question is how can I:

- Create a camera path sequence that will last exactly the same length as the videos.

- Fire everything with a single button, so that everything (video 1, video2 and sequenced camera paths) run synchronized.

Hi, I could solve part of this.

- I used the playlist button on the cameras board, so that the playlist cam path pins appear on the flow window

- I've connected a sequencer module + sequence integer to the playlist cam path pins

- I've opened the sequencer so i can add keyframes and (therefore) change the number of camera path)

BUT there's no way for me to create a keyframe in the timeline. Could you help with this?

You are in luck, we published today a documentation on the Sequencer.

In short:
Select Part.

And then you can add a part by ALT + Mouse clicking on the timeline.

Ok, so I create a part but know I need to type a number 1 or 2 or 3 or... to make sure that the cam path changes to that number. How do I tyoe and make sure that the part makes the cam path change?

Hi,

You can change the integer number here at the Value field:

Note that you need at least 2 keyframes added. Otherwise, the keyframe will change the number for the whole part.

Hi, Thanks for your quick answer. I could finally work it all out, so now I have everything running synchronized with the touch of a key.

There's one last question. I'd like to enable or disable a Billboard using the sequencer too; so that when I need, a billboard becomes visible synchronized with all the rest. How could I do this?

Hi,

You could add two Playlists, one turns the visibility on the other turns it off:

After that, you can add the Billboard Visibility button to the playlists:

Leave the action in the playlist at the zero second. You will set the timings in the Sequencer.

Otherwise, you could open the camera compound and connect your sequencer deep inside the camera compound to a complicated logic that determines Billboard visibility.

In the next release of Aximmetry, the workflow with the playlist in cases like this will be simplified.
