Blurred Presenter, Loss of Definition within Aximmetry

Hi Guys,

Has anybody ever had a problem whereby their talent appears blurred and fuzzy during aximmetry playback? I'm viewing a pre recorded .mov file from a recent shoot through a virtual camera and the footage is becoming blurred in my final output regardless of what I do with the Focus settings. I've had a look at a few forum posts here but am yet to find a comparable problem with a suitable fix.

In my preview videos you can see the presenters face blurs and smudges during live playback (it's a difficult phenomenon to capture in a still so I've provided video links). I'm using the latest versions of axim and unreal for axim together.

You'll also see the presenter is perfectly sharp during input and keyed modes but very blurry during the final output mode. You may also notice as I move other objects such as my animation screen within the scene it leaves behind a motion blur trail of sorts, related perhaps?

Any and all ideas are very welcome. Thanks in advance!

This is probably the most asked question, so I’m surprised you couldn’t find any info. First of all, have you followed the documentation for setting up your UE5 scene for Aximmetry? You need to enable Global Clip Plane and Custom Depth Stencil as per the instructions.

For the cleanest possible rendering of video you could also disable Allow Virtuals. If you’re still seeing issues you could turn off Render to Depth in the Billboards panel.

The motion blur trail from the screen is due to TAA in Unreal, in combination with slow GI update speed for Lumen. This is simply a limitation of Unreal in general and not related to Aximmetry.
