Focus data from NCAM

NCAM system is sending tracking data, but Cam Focus always returns 0 from the Control Data.

How do we obtain the focus encoder values and also focus distance from NCAM?

NCAM is set to transmit SDK Full Feature (MTU>=4096).

If you just use a Camera Tracking module with NCAM, do you receive focus data on the Focus Distance or Focus Sensor pin?:

i use Focus Sensor gives only 1 to 0 how to change to distance

Hi Efiert,

focus distance shows a static value with Ncam (usually 0) and doesn’t update / match the value in Ncam SDK.

focus sensor works and updates the normalized focus value.

The Focus Distance is indeed not working in the case of Ncam. And hence the Camera compound's focus doesn't work with Ncam.

It is going to be fixed in the next version of Aximmetry.

Thanks, Eifert. Is there a fix possible also for previous Unreal versions such as 4.7?
Is it possible to fix it by overwriting a file or editing components?

Hi Jim,

We're excited to share that the latest version of Aximmetry, version 2023.2.0, has been released today! And Ncam focus should work correctly in this version. Sadly, this fix won't be available for older versions of Aximmetry.
