slip up and down with Vive Mars

We are using your Vive Mars system at a studio and are having issues.

On a 12mm lens, we are experiencing no slip but when we go to a 24 then a 60mm lens we are having a slip up and down.
Our setup is a Blackmagic sync generator sending 50p genlock to both the camera and vive mars system.
The synchronization frequency is also set to 50 and output and aximmetry are set to 50.
We've calibrated all the lenses using vive mars calibration system. The perspective distortion looks correct but there is slip up and down.
We add tracking delay and have no slip left to right.
Our base stations are all being seen and there are no indications we are doing anything out of the ordinary.
You can see the issues in the video below.

Looks like a combination of a calibration issue combined with the usual Vive jitters. It could be more sensitive to tilting up/down than panning left/right, depending on how the base stations are mounted. Are you using 4 base stations and how close are they to the camera? Make sure they’re absolutely securely mounted (a c-stand isn’t stable enough) and no further away from the camera than necessary.

Hi, we've tried calibrating with vive mars numerous times as well as Aximmetry's camera calibrator. We're using 4 base stations which are secure and we've tried moving them closer to the camera but still no difference.

Hi,

Note that you are likely experiencing the same amount of jitter with the 12mm lens as with the 60mm lens, but because of the higher focal length, the virtual graphics are more zoomed in and hence any change in the camera data will be much more visible. The bigger the focal length, the more visible the measurement variability of your tracking system.

You can find some important tips on how to place the Base Stations here: https://www.vive.com/ca/support/camtrack/category_howto/tips-for-setting-up-the-base-stations.html

Warmest regards,
