having a weird problem today with my tracking system I'm using an antilatency floor tracking system and it's all set up and optimized and I get really good tracking data with no latency or lag.
I've run through the process of calibrating all of the lenses I plan to use and it's working perfectly inside the Basic camera calibrator. the markers I placed to the real-world C-Stands don't have any drift or offset. it looks great.
the problem happens when I come into Broadcast DE. when I go to monitor and click studio I now have really weird distortion going on at the edge of my frame. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the Lens distortion but even if I toggle that it still has tracking drift. and I made sure I'm using the correct lens calibration file.
basically, I have great results in basic camera calibrator but not in my aximmetry project.
any thoughts?
Hi,
Yes, the edge of the frame being cut is likely caused by the Lens Distortion. You can fix it without turning Lens Distortion off by increasing the Edge Expand, more on it here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-virtual-sets-with-tracked-cameras/#edge-expand
Your tracking drift might be caused by inaccurate tracking delay: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-virtual-sets-with-tracked-cameras/#inputs
Or maybe the floor of your virtual scene is at a different place (height) than it is in your tracking system.
Warmest regards,
