[Download Link] VirtualCam Unreal A-B Preview refactored

I wanted for a long time to understand what was going on inside that compound, but that cable mess discouraged me every time. This time, I decided to invest some time.

* I removed other cams and left just a single cam
* I made a lot of cable connections into transmission variables

* I have not tested it, since this is more of a "try to understand" refactoring
* I may have accidentally cut a cable during that transition.
* Some of the comments may be wrong, I wrote what I understood was going on.

In the final compound, you can easily add more cameras. It is pretty trivial. Duplicate the INPUT group, add the values to the selected camera compound and maybe adjust some of the pin collectors

P.S I am really curious. Is this compound generated from code or its a human work? (I guess the first)

This is incredible! Do you have a webpage or somewhere to but these valuable contributions? I’m afraid they’ll get lost in the clutter of the forum.

No. I hope Aximmetry could create some kind of repo that we could all share compounds.

Also I have not tested the compound. It is just an effort to understand the structure (I am pretty sure I cut a couple of cables on the way).

Next target is billboards.

Hi,

The compounds are handmade, they are not generated from code. However, inside the camera compounds you usually find linked compounds and they are used by several camera compounds, or the camera compound uses a slightly different linked compound. So there are lots of repeating patterns.

There are plans for a marketplace or repo on Aximmetry.com. Until that, you could for example use GitHub, just create a repo and upload files using the GitHub website. You could add several files to one repo or create different repos under your username.

Also, there are plans to add notes to the camera control boards and to some degree to the logic and compounds inside the camera compounds.

Warmest regards,
