Success with multiple Magewell USB Capture SDI Plus?

Hi all,

Traditionally we use Blackmagic DeckLink for SDI input into Aximmetry. However, we’re working on a project where an internal card will not be possible. It’s a 3 camera SDI setup, into an UE/Aximmetry box.

I believe Magewell USB Capture SDI Plus work just fine with Broadcast Edition. My question - has anyone had success attaching multiple (3) Magewell USB Capture SDI Plus to a machine thus allowing mixing between cameras in Aximmetry?

second question would be - how did you then output the signal to another machine/recorder?

Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

There are no limitations inside Aximmetry that would interfere with multiple Magewell USB Capture SDI Plus devices.

You could use NDI or SRT to transmit the video from one computer to the other through a network connection. These protocols are not lossless compressions, but you will already lose quality with the USB connection.

You can use the Video Recorder module to record videos in various formats.
Or if you want to record camera tracking too with the video, then we have this documentation on that:

Warmest regards,
