Not Genuine message

Hi!

I had two versions of Aximmetry - Studio SE and trial Broadcast DE. They were installed on separate HDDs on the same machine. When trial period of Broadcast DE ended, Studio SE got a blue overlay on the screen with a message "NOT GENUINE 0100". I have tried to:

- remove trial version;

- uninstall and install again Studio SE;

- cleaned folders Aximmetry in user/AppData/local/ and user/AppData/Roaming

with no result. Licensed Studio SE still says it is not genuine. What should I do?

Hi,

You could try deactivating the trial Broadcast license:

If this doesn't work, then do it on the Aximmetry website: https://my.aximmetry.com/User/ManageActivations

And then activate the Studio Se license:

If it is still not working, which license does the About Aximmetry Composer window display?:

Thank you for your answer. I did what you told, but there was no effect - message remained. I have deactivated DE trial license - not helped, so I deactivated Studio SE license too, and re-activated it again. Not helped. So I have reinstalled Studio SE again. After that I've got 6 errors "Failed to load plugin...." you can see it on screenshots:

The Aximmetry starts, runs, and what About dialogue says:

It looks that everything fine with registration. But now I even cannot start any VirtualStudio. Uninstalled Studio SE, manually deleted the directory with Common Libraries, samples etc. Reinstalled the Studio SE with download of all files, but the problem is the same. Error on DLLs, and when I try to load any Studio from Demo files provided, Log says Unknown/ not licensed module type.

Hi,

If you didn't have those "failed to load plugin library" errors before, you should uninstall and install Studio SE again. Something has probably gone wrong in the installation. Make sure you don't get any errors during the installation.

If these errors happened even before, then something in your system (Windows) might be missing. For example, if you are using a windows server, then my last post here can help: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/1718-aximmetry-on-aws

Hi again and thanks for help, but...

"f you didn't have those "failed to load plugin library" errors before, you should uninstall and install Studio SE again. Something has probably gone wrong in the installation. Make sure you don't get any errors during the installation." - done many times, no errors during installation or uninstallation. System - Windows 11. Everything worked fine before Trial version expired... SE stopped to work too. Pleas take a look at video of first run of the SE after complete fresh installation on that PC.

I have tested the software start process in debugger. And I see, that these errors happens in AximmetryEngine.Mail.dll on command AddPlugin. But I cannot trace it inside of this DLL because it is debugger-protected.

Hi,

Try uninstalling again Studio SE. And uninstall Broadcast DE, if Windows for some reason detects it as installed.
And this time, delete any leftovers at the install location of Studio and Broadcast.
And you should search for Aximmetry and Broadcast DE in Registry Editor (regedit) using CTRL+F, and delete any keys or folders related to it.

You could also try deleting the Aximmetry folders at C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local and at C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming. But it is unlikely that these are the source of the issue.

Thank you, I have done, as you told. But the same result. Please take a look at videos of process:

Part 1 uninstall, clearing and installation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PejvmVAh0ME

Part 2 finish and run again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJR95ASpk1E

Any ideas?

Hi,

You have done everything right.

Can you share what is written in the OS Name and Version in the System Information:

System Information is a Windows app, you should be able to open it by searching for it in Windows search.

Also, you can do the following to find out which DLL is missing from your system:

1) Download this Dependency scanner program:
https://lucasg.github.io/Dependencies/
and unpack it wherever you like.

2) Start Dependencies.exe from the unzipped folder.

3) Drag the following file into the Dependencies.exe:
...\Aximmetry DE\bin\AximmetryEngine.Plugins.DMX.dll

4) Right-click the top item in the list and select Expand All.

5) Go to the bottom list and click on the Type field:

6) If you see any lines on the top with N/A info, please send a screenshot of these.

Thank you very much in advance for your assistance and patience.

Warmest regards,

Hi,

Try downloading Studio SE and install it again: https://my.aximmetry.com/User/MyDownloads
There was a quick fix on the day of the release of 2023.1.0 for Studio versions. A new version was uploaded which fixed a similar issue. So if you downloaded it on the day of the 2023.1.0 release, then you are likely experiencing this issue and you just need to download the installer again.

It starts now, but... Still got the same "Not genuine" message, as it was before.

Please take a look at videos of installation and running software.
