The animations on and off the screen are not synchronized. Changing the screen delay to synchronize the animations will cause the camera to move out of sync

Hi,

I am assuming you meant led wall production using the LEDWallCam_Prev_3-Cam_4-Wall compound. And what you intially experienced that the animation on the led wall is from the past (out of sync) compared to the Digital Extension:

And if you set the Picture Delay, then the animation will be in sync, but the tracking will be out of sync. Which will cause the Digital Extension to be misaligned.

Note, the picture above was made in Aximmetry version 2023.1.0, in this new version the Digital Extension panel's delay parameter was removed. And Picture Delay now controls the Digital Extension's delay. List of the changes here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/software-version-history/#common-library-additions-9

What also changed in Aximmetry version 2023.1.0, is that there is now a way to set the animation delay and still have correct tracking. So that both the camera movements and the animation will be in sync.
For this, you need a multi-machine setup as you will have to render the virtual studio twice. You can turn on this feature by turning every Led Wall to be rendered on a Remote Engine (machine) and by turning off the Led Walls that you don't use:

When you have done so, and the compound is running, you should receive the following message:

After this, the control machine will render the picture for the Digital Extension only. However, you still need to set the delay in your animation running on the control machine. You can do so by using the Animation Delay output pin in a flow logic. For example, if you want to start the animation with a Trigger, then you can use it like this:

In the future, this part will likely be more automated.

You can adjust this delay to compensate for network delay using the Animation Delay Adjust:

These little flowcharts can help you in understanding why we need to render the virtual studio twice:
This flowchart shows that we delay the picture of the Render and use it up for the Digital Extension Mixing once the Camera recorded the Led Wall. The problem with this is that the delayed rendered picture uses old tracking data:

Time progresses in the chart from top to bottom.

With the multi-machine solution, the picture is rendered again right before the Digital Extension Mixing, using the new tracking data:

One more thing. Don't forget to set the AR delays:

This will ensure that the video and tracking are in sync when rendering the picture again for Digital Extension.

Warmest regards,
