Hi
I bought the Camera Lens calibrator for 49 Euros.
The Tutorial in the Learn-area is very small. Thats why it is self-explanatory.
I have no Zoomlens. I work with a fisheye. I cannot define that in the adjustments.
The Program says, it cannot detect a sharp picture.
And for what is that Camera Lens Calibrator? Only for Lens calibration. Can I define the Ground?
Thanks for your answers
Best Daniel
A zoom lens simply means a lens where you can change the field of view, which would be used in combination with a lens encoder to calibrate multiple steps across the zoom range.
There doesn’t have to be a specific setting for fisheye lenses, since any non-zoom lens is fixed.
Question is, why are you using a fisheye lens? Those lenses have a lot of distortion and really aren’t suitable for virtual production. Maybe the distortion is too much for the calibrator to detect a sharp image of the calibration board? Are you sure you’ve printed the calibration board correctly, by the way?
Finally, the Camera Calibrator is both for calibrating the lens and for the tracker to camera offset. The offset is calibrated in a separate step, after you’ve completed the lens calibration. What tracking system are you using?
