Regarding to playback almost anything is accepted.

Regarding to recording the supported codecs are:  H.264, H.265, MJPEG, MPEG-2, DNxHD/HR, CineForm, QuickTime RLE, Raw RGB, Raw YUV.

For alpha playback / recording CineForm or QuickTime RLE can be used.

Furthermore you can use image sequences with all the usual image formats.

Hello,

Those are the codecs we support and recommend.

I have noticed that QuickTime RLE  lags much more then CineForm. So I have re rendered my videos to use CineForm instead of QuickTime RLE. After doing that and implementing them into my Aximmetry project, I have found that the beginning of the video lags, but then the video plays smoothly.

Looking at the ProcessorLoad while playing them, I noticed the FPS drops, CPU spikes and then regulates back. Saying the video is lagging, its technically loosing its frames giving the illusion of lagging. Can anyone suggest a fix?

Thanks!

Hi,

You can use the buffer option in the Video Player module to stop the lag of the video when it is opened.
We noticed in the other post of yours that you managed to find this solution.

By the way, in this period of opening your video, the video is loaded into the memory from your hard drive.

Warmest regards,
