Is there a gain function in Axy?

Hi there.

I want to multiply the individual R/G/B channels of a video signal with a given factor. (AKA 'Gain')
Unfortunately there's no multiply node that would work on a splitted or decomposed video.

After some testing I found though that the adjuster's Brightness function
seems to be named misleading, since it's actually a Gain function.
(Brightness is additive, Gain is a multiplicative)

So, answering my own question here... yes there is. It's just named wrong... :-)

Cheers.

Eric.

Hi Eric,

You can use the Blender module as a multiply node by setting its Blending Mode to Multiply:
There is also an Add Blending Mode and many other useful blendings.
You can set a solid color's HDR over 1 and turn on HDR out if you want to multiply with values over 1 with the Solid Color module.

Yes, the Adjuster's Brightness is multiplicative. To me, it seems brightness is quite a general term these days, and probably most users will want this kind of behavior when using it in the Adjuster. We will of course document this in the future.

Warmest regards,
