Aximmetry Input from Video Grad (GC553 live Gamer Ultra)

I have a video capture card (Aver Media GC553 Live Gamer Ultra 4k) when connected directly to Aximmetry as video input in Full HD (1080P) its colors are correctly show but when I put it to 4k (2160P) its color are not correctly shown the skin tone of the person is blue/purple and I need to put the hue in the billboard(adjuster) to -1 so that the skin tone will be correctly shown but still there are some areas where the colors are now correct like on the lips as example.

Is there any direct solution in aximmetry settings where I can easily do some changes and it shows the correct colors?

Hi,

Do the incorrect colors appear in other software? Or it is only in Aximmetry?
If you were using 4k with 60fps then note that it probably had the wrong color cause the device has a Max Record Resolutions: 2160p30. Also, make sure you have at least USB 3.1 connection with the device.

Warmest regards,

Hi Eifert,

Incorrect colors only appears on Aximmetry and I'm only using the Max Record Resolutions: 2160p30. Yes, I'm also using USB 3.1. If it is not USB 3.1 it will automatically not detect vice versa.

Do you have work around for this? Or this is a bug?

Hi,

It could be that the AUTO Color Space or Game Curve is using the wrong values.
You could try changing them or find out what are the exact settings of your GC553 or the source of the video:

Note, you can switch fast between the various option items in Aximmetry using the keyboard's arrow keys.

If it still doesn't fix it, do you use HDR? And what is the source of the video, another computer, if so, what color space is being used on that computer or program?

Warmest regards,

Hi,

I already told you that the source is from the GC553 live Gamer Ultra  connected via USB 3.1 and directly connected from a camera. Only in AXIMMETRY that the colors are not correct in 4k! other software it is correctly showing colors in 4k. Other software are on defaults! camera settings are all defaults too! and AXIMMETRY also are on defaults!

Is this a bug?! because I feel it is. Please if you can give direct answer. Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, it can be a bug.
I am trying to help you to find a workaround with existing tools, so you could use your device in 4k right now. Changing In Color Space or Game Curve might just do that, or turning on or off the HDR in your source. Also, this helps us to locate the exact source of this problem.
A screenshot of the video in Aximmetry could also help to find the source of the problem.

Warmest regards,

Hi,

Done changing color space/game curve, or turning on and off hdr still does not help. Pretty sure this is a bug. The exact problem is in the 4k interpretation of aximmetry in 4k via the video grabber  . And I don't think you need a screen shot for that one coz I have given you the exact problem where it is and its on the input.

Warmest regards.

Hi,

While we are working on this issue, you can try the following workarounds:

Instead of using the AUTO mode, you could specify the 2160p30 for example in the Edit->Device Mapper and use the mapped device as input:

You can try installing the latest AVerMedia software and drivers if you are not already using those.

And you can also try starting the Composer with the /dshowlegacy command line switch:

With this command line switch, the AUTO input mode won't work and you will have to set 2160p30.

Warmest regards,

Hi,

Thank you for your support.

First, I already done what you have mention on the first part from the very beginning so now I'm confused why you keep on telling to do that the fact that I've already told you that. Second, I also did what you have showed about the legacy and still nothing the colors are not correct.

Anyways, hope you can fix the bug soon. Thank you again for the support.

Warmest regards

@Stephenbrian: You really can’t expect Aximmetry to support every consumer capture card available on the market. It’s a professional software that supports professional hardware like AJA and Blackmagic Decklink. It works great in 4K with those, with 10 bit colors and low latency.
