Aximmetry Keying issue

Dear All,

We are really struggling with the keying with Aximmetry. It is been almost 1 year we have purchased it , but we were unable to use it properly because of the Keying issue.

Either the key is not perfect, we get noise. Or once keyed if we do virtual Zoom in the picture distort.

What could be the possible solution.

We are using the Recommenced machine with Intel I9 10500 , 64 GB RAM and RTX 3090.

With the inbuilt green video it seems fine.

But the moment we switch to live camera (using a Sony BRC1000 with 4K) it gives bad output .

Please help.

Warm Regards,

Debasish

The Aximmetry keyer is one of the best keyers available, hardware or software. If you’re not getting good results the issue is somewhere else in your setup. The Sony BRC1000 might be 4K, but the image sensor is small, the optics aren’t great and it has awful, over sharpened Sony image processing. This is the main reason you’re having issues, but there’s also factors such as studio lighting to consider. What do you mean by virtual zoom? If you’re zooming in more than 10-15% digitally, the shortcomings of the camera will be even more evident. Again, this has nothing to do with the keyer.

Since you’re not giving us any details of your setup, it’s har to determine what can be improved with it. Can you post a screen shot of your keyer settings? Maybe a link to short clip of your raw camera output before any processing and as little compression as possible (DNxHR or ProRes 4K)?

That camera is also a small sensor camera… The Ursa Mini G2 is a good option. If you want a PTZ camera, the Sony FR7 is a good alternative. For a lower budget option, check out the Z CAM product line.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Budget is not an issue. We can go for any traditional camera with higher budget as a one time investment.

You may suggest few more please which can give good result.

Thanks a ton once again.

Warm Regards,
