Can 2022.4.1 and 2022.5.0 be installed next to each other?

I searched here on the forum, but could not find the answer, unless I overlooked. For backup as we have no idea how UE5 will perform on our 3080 cards and older projects, can we install both versions on our systems? So we can gradually migrate to UE5 without jumping into the dark.

Hi Marc,

The two installed versions can not work on the same system with Unreal. You should only install one of the versions.

Maybe separate a computer for this task of converting the project from Unreal 4 to 5. It will probably take lots of time to recompile all the shaders, meantime you probably want to use another computer.

Also, you might want to install Unreal 5 for Aximmetry separately, by downloading Unreal engine for Aximmetry 2022.5.0 https://my.aximmetry.com/User/MyDownloads

Warmest regards,

Thanks. I installed it on one machine already to compare. And have been porting already some projects to 2022.5. They work great so far. Stockeds Screen plugin does not work anymore in UE 5 itself. Hoping they bring out an update soon.

Thanks for the reply.
