Blurred Camera-Image if "allow Virtuals" is turned on.

Hello I have a quick question:

when I key a live camera image in my project with a virtual camera, the key looks very good and clean.

Also the image looks good when I set "allow virtuals" to "off" in the camera settings. As soon as I set "Allow Virtuals" to on my camera image looks totally muddy and blurry.

Does anyone have a tip?

Thanks in advance.

Have you carefully followed the documentation for setting up the UE4 project for Aximmetry? Global clip plane and Custom depth stencil pass need to be set appropriately for the billboard to be sharp.

It could also be the UE4 Bloom or Chromatic Aberration settings that is causing the issue. With Allow Virtuals On the Billboard will pass through the UE4 Post Processing pipeline.

Hi there,

thank you first of all for the answer.

I have tried all your comments, but unfortunately I still have a muddy image.

Whenever the man in the green screen moves, or the virtual camera moves, I have a blured/jittered picture of the keyed footage in the comp. The background of the stage is totally sharp, but the person is very blurry. When I have a still image, the stage and the keyed signal looks sharp.

Do you have another tip?

Unfortunately I am very pressed for time and would appreciate any tips.

All I can say is that its working for us if we do the Custodio Depth Stencil Pass and Enable Global Clip Plane. Have you tried with another scene? Are you sure the Aximmetry Camera is updated to the latest version?

Thank you for your answer.

I have tried both things and some other things, but unfortunately I'm a bit desperate because the project must run soon :/

What do you mean by "Aximmetry Camera is updated to the latest version?" i downloaded and installed the professional version today because i only had a trial license before. now i installed everything fresh and continued working on my stage. i also tried several scenes. unfortunately the image is always sharp in a freezeframe and when someone moves, the image is blurred (like fractal/ noisy/ shaky.

You need to Install the Aximmetry Camera from the Aximmetry menu in the UE4 editor. Don’t forget to cook your project again after updating. The blur you’re seeing is the UE4 Temporal Antialiasing and it should be disabled for the video when everything is correctly set up.

can you tell me how this works exactly? In the menu at "aximmetry - plugins" I only see "aximmetry version 1" ... but unfortunately I don't know how to update the cameras specifically.

There’s an Aximmetry menu in the UE4 editor. From there you install the Aximmetry camera. You then need to save and cook the scene. Everything is explained in the documentation. Make sure to follow it carefully and not skip any steps:

What was missing was the installation / update of the aximmetry camera in the UE4 editor.

So in summary for all who have the same problem:

- Check: custom Depth Stencil Pass and Enable Global Clip Plane in the settings.

- update aximmetry camera in ue 4 editor as twentystudios described above with the link to the documentation.

After updating the camera in UE4 the image looks crispy sharp.

Thank you very much for solving the problem.
