audio not coming in through camera/sdi decklink feed

Hey folks.

Weird new issue. have been using audio from SDI no problem for some time, but most recently, it was not coming in. I checked all the settings and connections, nothing. i tried rebooting, using other aximmetry scenes, tried another identical camera, with a different cable, nothing. then i tried feeding it another signal from another source through SDI, and boom, both that signal and the other one were working. then i lost it again, and tried the same method, but the second time it wouldn't come back.

the audio is coming into the computer, verified using the bm xpress app. but in the flow editor, there's no signal movement from the audio out pins of the virtualcam module.

Other audio is able to enter aximmetry, this seems to be just with the SDI/decklink

Hello support

We are also facing issue with Aximmetry audio input. Aximmetry is not detecting audio from HDMI (using blackmagic  decklink quad HDMI recorder)  . however audio is coming into the system (We checked using Blackmagic media express ). Video input is there, but audio channel is showing empty

Hello,

we are indeed aware of the issue and we are testing it thoroughly and trying to fix it as soon as possible. Can you guys share with us screenshots from your flow editors?

@Channel2, was it working before and suddenly stopped working or audio never worked for you?

Best regards,

I'm on 2022.1.0.

Today when i booted up, it was working, then as we were setting up, it stopped again.

I started reverting some settings back to default: went from 1440 to 1080. then i set the framerate from 29.97 to 30. then, i set the in to out latency from 12, to 8. once i applied the latency, the audio came back. I bumped it back up to 12, and tried a bunch of other settings in latency, and the audio remained.

As a workaround, you could try to add an Audio Input module and select your decklink and then route it to where you need it. it seemed to me the issue was with the virtualcam module

Hi MEGO-XR,

You are not getting audio out from these pins when you set the corresponding input?

Note, you can peek on the pin (press CTRL and hover the mouse over the pin) to see the audio signal's strength.

Also, you need to expose the audio with the video connection:

And for example, listening in while playing it in preview you will have to use an Audio Out module to specify exactly what audio out you are using on your computer:

If you see empty when peeking on the Audio output pin,

do you experience the same with these modules when you set Device within them to Decklink?:

Warmest regards,
