Verifying Genlock working

How do we verify that Aximmetry is correctly genlocked?

The camera is genlocked and feeds SDI into Blackmagic card.

We also have a genlock signal coming into the Blackmagic card as ref 1.

And our tracking system is genlocked as well and feeds tracking data via Ethernet into Aximmetry.

after adjusting the tracking delay there is still some jitter where video and tracked camera movement do not always coincide. The virtual graphics look jittery as a result.

What tracking system are you using? Tracking data over Ethernet could be troublesome because of network congestion.

Is there an approach to verify that the genlock is working?

We are seeing jittery graphics that do not get computed at the same time as the video somehow. Blackmagic Ref input is genlocked, Redspy genlocked and camera is genlocked. All set to the same framerate (29.98). Aximmetry says 23.976 but I assume that's the same frame rate per the standard.

Hi,

The Genlock is visible in the SDI on screen info.

Enabled SDI info:

Genlock being active is marked with a "G" sign at the end of the text:

Genlock being inactive is marked with a  "-" sign at the end of the text:

Warmest regards,

We are using antilatency, we have sync gen connected to BM 8k card Ref, Camera genlock and the output "sync" checkbox. All preference, input, output set at 29.97. But it doesn't show "G", it show "33", what is the condition for "G"?

@Will Dylan: Antilatency doesn’t support genlock, so why would you genlock the camera and the BM 8K output? Aximmetry will automatically genlock to the video input signal (with Sync checkbox) no need to genlock the camera or the capture card. The Sync ref input is only for Genlocking the output of the card and shouldn’t affect how Aximmetry renders internally.
