Aximmetry Crashes and Closes in the presence of Big Files

In my Aximmetry DE Composer there is a huge 8K screen on stage.

I crop a 8K video (AV1 Mp4) into several pieces so I can play the parts I wanted.

Aximmetry will crash at the moment when I browse the folder I place my video in.

I have done several tests and concluded that as long as the folder i am browsing does not exceed a certain size, Aximmetry can run smoothly, otherwise, it's immediate crash.

Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Hello Barry,

Thank you for the detailed description of the issue. I have reported it to our development team and they will look into it.

For now, I see that you are loading the project from your NAS. If you transfer it to a local drive on your machine, does the same issue occur?

Can you also upload the video file in that folder so that we can inspect it?

Thanks for the respond.

The folder is a Network Drive which I am pretty sure it's local, DESKTOP-6OK8462 is this PC.

I also think it has less to do with the project as I don't even need to open a project to recreate this issue. I can browse the Folder and crashes without opening a Xcomp.

You may not be able to play it with just standard media player since it's a AV1 MP4.

I didn't realize we were talking about the Video file, in which case, it's the same.

I tried moving into just User/Videos folder and it crashed.

Hello,

The reason behind the crash is the AV1 format. Aximmetry crashes when it fetches the data for an AV1 file. Of course, it shouldn't crash, so the issue will be resolved in our next release.

Also, the AV1 codec will be supported if you use an Nvidia graphics card.
