Virtual Cam Crash

Friends, I have a problem.

I updated Aximmetry to the latest version and when I load an unreal scenario, the virtual cameras work for a few minutes and freeze. It is only by restarting the software that the crash is stopped.

And a few more minutes it crashes again.

Any idea what might be going on?

Thanks.

Hello,

Can you do a recording of when the crash happens exactly? Take a look at your CPU and GPU utilization meters and see if they are overloaded or not.

Also, please send us the error description that Aximmtry shows. If it asks you to create a dump file, please press yes and send us the file to support@aximmetry.com

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have video of what happens, unfortunately Aximmetry stops without generating any error description. Simply any button stops working.

GPU 27%

CPU 10%

Running light.

The error video is in the link below. Note that at 10 seconds the virtual camera freezes, any button on the Axi stops working and only restarting it goes back to normal for another 4 minutes until it crashes again.

It was so.

Pay attention to the game mode of your Unreal scene.

The bottom line is that you have placed player start under the stage. At the start of the scene, the player appears there and constantly falls. When the player reaches the bottom of the stage, at that moment the cameras are stuck in the zero coordinate system.

The player just drops about 5 minutes.

I'll check, it seems very consistent that this is happening. I'll post again with the answer.

Thanks!

Same problem here. After some while the camera stops and goes to a certain point. I can't move the camera anymore, even in free mode. When I click on "Matrix", I see the 3 cameras working, but the program (left upper screen) is frozen. I'm using the community version.

@Pablo_salmeri, a quick workaround for me is to go from Cooked to Live Sync and back to Cooked. Within a second it's back, you don't have to wait for Live Sync to be completed. Just switch it really quick and you can continue (untill the next freeze pops up).

Hope this helps and I hope there is a better solution for this.

@Oleg_Khan solved the issue.

The player kept falling for the given time and then the camera automatically got stuck at the 0 coordinate.

Thanks a lot for the help.

Can a moderator mark the issue as resolved?

Thanks.

So what did you change Pablo?

I had a lot of map changes in an attempt to resolve the issue. I found it easier to get everything I needed and migrate to a new file. In my case it solved the problem.

Hi Pablo,

Thank you for sharing the solution with us.
The forum doesn't yet have a marking system for solved threads, but it is in our task list.

Warmest regards,
