Hi,

The Shadow Offset you are using might have moved the talent's shadow under a piece of furniture.
You probably want to set the Shadow Offset to 0:0.

Warmest regards,

Hello Eifert, thank you so much for your answer.

I've tried to set up the Shadow Offset but still no luck :/
Any ideas on what other setting could be wrong?

Hi,

It might be that the shadow is already there:

But it is strongly diffused cause of the Lightmass Portals and Lightmass Importance. https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-US/BuildingWorlds/LightingAndShadows/LightmassPortals/

You could try turning those off and also changing the Directional Light's angle. Note, in Live Sync mode with Aximmetry, you can make changes like that in Unreal very fast. In fact, you can make those changes live while the Unreal Map is playing. However in that case the changes won't be saved after you stop the Map.

Warmest regards,

Hello Eifert, thank you so much for your help on this. I've found the issue, i had to disable "Cast Raytraced shadows" on the Directional light and now i can see the shadow properly.

Cheers!

@Eifert: Ligthmass portals and Lightmass importance volume only relate to baked. lighting and doesn’t have anything to do with casting shadows from a Billboard. Baked lighting doesn’t cast real-time shadows.

Hi,

Thanks TwentyStudios, you are right, it shouldn't affect real-time shadows.
Don't know why I thought it works with non-baked lighting.

Warmest regards,
