Render sharpness Aximmetry vs Unreal

Hey Folks.

When you open any of the virtual studio scenes that come with Aximmetry
(e.g. the 'Talk Show Virtual Cam') Aximmetry renders a very sharp
(almost too sharp, too artificial looking) output,
whereas any scene that comes from Unreal has a slightly blurry feel to it.
(We already tried the usual suspects like switching 'Allow Virtuals' etc on/off)

However, we really like that sharp and pristine look that comes out of 'native' Axim scenes,
since the rest of the streaming workflow would benefit from those ultrasharp content.

Is there any hidden switch, trick, or hackaround, that would make Unreal scenes
render with that same ultrasharp appeal that native Axim scenes come along with?

Cheers & all the best.

Eric.

No hidden switch, unfortunately. They’re just two different 3D engines.

We usually set Aximmetry to render everything in 4K, even though the final output is 1080p. This’ll definitely increase the sharpness of the final output, at the expense of a hefty performance hit.

Thanks for the answer!

I'd never thought Axim would go that extra mile and maintain they're own proprietary render engine.
(Well...that 'Dual Engine' in 'DE' could have given me a clue...:-))

Rendering in double resolution feels a bit like the stuff we did (sometimes still do) for VFX,
but if that's the way to go, it's probably the way to go...:-)

Cheers & all the best.
