Problems input and output videos

We have 4 SDI port, 1 and 2 for in put, 3 and 4 for output. Our setup is like this:

We are currently getting none to very unstable (not updating or flickering) inputs and no output (pitch black).

All of out input/output signals/connectuons are fine, we tested them with another monitor. The camera is reading 1080i 59.94, and the Aja driver is the latest version. The DE composer is version 2021.4.2.20596.

What could be the problem here, did I not set them up right?

Thank you

Looking at the screen shots, it looks like you’ve assigned all ports as outputs. I guess that’s why they’re not available as inputs?

Hi TwentyStudio

I am not sure which screen shot you are refering to, I don't see anywhere that set my port up as in or outputs.

I can only view them via the AJA Control Panel, which clearly marked them right, however, immediately marked my SDI1 as unknown the moment I launch Aximmetry.

In addtion to this, Aximmetry crashes a lot.

I changed my Camera output to 1080i50 and made everything match it, whenever I attempt to change this node I would surely crash.

An update on this problem.

I cleared the device mapper (since I don't understand its purpose even after reading about it).

The level now have rather stable output, but the input is still very unstable. Video : https://imgur.com/a/II5CIPk

Then again, the signal is completely fine, I direct the camera output to the monitor directly and it's super fluent like it should be.

I sent a email to sales@aximmetry.com attached all the dump files of this project, no reply yet.

@MS-Barry: In the first screen shot with the Output Device Mapper, you have assigned an output index to each of the AJA ports.

Are you sure you’re on the latest firmware andr drivers with the AJA card?

Hi,

You should assign the same input and output ports in Aximmetry as in the AJA Control Panel.

So if you are using this:

Then SDI port 1 and 2 should be removed from video outputs:

And SDI port 3 and 4 should be removed from video input:

Warmest regards,

@TwentyStudios

@Eifert@Aximmetry

our driver was 16.1.0.3 when this issue occured, which was latest version at the time

It seems like following the setting provided solved the issue. I am updating the driver to 16.2.

I didn't know Device Mapper meant Input, which really clear things out. Though I am not so sure of how to remove SDI 1 and 2 from video outputs, I can only clear their Index, hopefully that was what you meant.

Thank you very much.

Hi Barry,

Yes, I meant the index.
The picture in my previous comment was indeed confusing. I edited the comment and replaced the picture to clearly show that the indexes need to be changed.

Warmest regards,
