Positioning SCENE location using TrackedCam with UE

Hello - Using the SCENE Base Cam Transf to position a scene is all trial and error... Is there a way to more easily position a scene? perhaps using free mode to position? Or even if using camera free mode, could we determine the coordinates and copy those into the Base Cam Transf? that would be extremely helpful

Perhaps there's another way that I'm not understanding.

Thanks for the help

I found if I hold down the arrow keys when I'm in a Base Cam Transf field allows me to at least navigate to find my scene position. So I think I'm good for now.

However, having the ability to position a scene when camera is in free mode would be extremely helpful.. Perhaps a future feature?

thanks

Hi,

You can also change the values of a parameter with the mouse. Also, you can do it at different speeds. It is explained at 15:30 time position of this video: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-virtual-sets-with-vr-cameras/

I am guessing you would want to see the camera's position in free mode and then position the scene with the Base Cam Transf field. Aximmetry has a similar system with Led Wall cameras. I added your suggestion to our request list.

Hi,

In the latest Aximmetry version (2024.3.0 BETA), you can see the camera's position in the Scene if the Markers Visible parameter is set to In Studio and Scene. This makes positioning the Scene easier. You can read more about it here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/green-screen-production/tracked-camera-workflow/studio-control-panel/#markers-visible

Warmest regards,
