export separate level Cglayer and Keyed video

good morning, maybe I go against the philosophy of aximmetry, but I'm looking for a way to export separate background layers (cg layer) and the camera shot to make a composition on after effect.

I tried with the recordAudio3 module but I can't separate the layers, do you have a guide or can you explain me how to do it?

thanks for your work and patient support

Hi,

I am assuming you are using Unreal scene and not Aximmetry rendered scene.

The simplest way is to turn off Allow Virtuals:
For Tracked Cameras you can find it here:

For Virtual Cameras:

Then, you can record the background and the talent like this:

Video Recorder records the background. Video Recorder 2 records the keyed talent.
There are several other things you could record in a similar way. For example, you could record the Mask of the current billboard position from the B Mask output pin of the Unreal module.

Also, in File->Properties->Rendering set the color space to Linear. Otherwise, the recording of your talent will be in a different color space than your Unreal background:

Warmest regards,

Thank you for your reply. yes i'm in unreal cooked prj.

i just have one doubt: in this way, by deactivating the virtual, i lose the reference of the preview. i no longer see the talent in the preview.

is there an alternative or a way to see the full preview?

If your billboard disappears when you turn off Allow Virtuals, you probably haven’t set up your UE4 scene correctly with Global Clip Plane and Custom Stencil pass: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-aximmetry-de-users/how-to-install-and-work-with-the-unreal-engine-based-de-edition/

How does the output of the B-Mask look and do you see the billboard if you disconnect B-Mask?

I tried Enable Support global clip plane for Planar Reflections, it was the only step I was not performing.

But nothing changes. i recorded a video to show you what i see when i disable the virtual.

maybe i corrupted something in the xcomp tracked?

@adalbertolamp: Yeah, something else is going on. Your B-Mask seems to be working fine. Just guessing, but what happens if you turn off Use Billboards?

Hi,

It seems something is indeed not correct in the edited xcomp tracked camera.

Note that if you leave Allow Virtuals turned on, then the talent will appear in the Out output pin of the Unreal project compound, which you are recording for the background layer.

Warmest regards,
