I have a question about Aximmetry Protocol

I am thinking of purchasing Aximetry software.

I have a few questions, so I'm writing on the forum.

I wonder if I should use the Professional version rather than the Aximetry free version to receive ptz Camera's protocol.

Also, I understand that you can receive the RTTRP protocol in the management device -> camera tracking, but I wonder if you can receive both RTTrPM and RTrpL of Blacktrax.

Thanks!

Hi,

Note that Aximmetry Community (free version) has a watermark on all content.
If your PTZ camera comes with one of the professional tracking protocols, you will have to buy Aximmetry Broadcast to use it: https://aximmetry.com/learn/faq/hardware-1/#tracking
RTTrP tracking protocol is an experimental protocol (beta version), you can use it with Aximmetry Community, you don't need Aximmetry Broadcast.

RTTrPM (used for tracking) is supported. But RTTrPL (used for lighting information) is not supported.
I am not sure that Aximmetry will be able to read RTTrPM if both RTTrPL and RTTrPM come with the same packet (if that is even possible). If it can't read the RTTrPM, please write back. Also, feel free to write down any remarks or concerns about RTTrP.

Warmest regards,

We are currently testing blacktrax.

However, I checked the error message "No Input" even though I set up the IP with the device manager.

I want to know the solution.

Additionally, it's a broadcast version.

I attached a picture.

Thanks!

Hi,

First, check if it works when the Windows firewall is turned off. (later you can turn it back)

Then if it still does not works, please check with Blacktrax's RTTrP Reader application whether it sees UDP the connection or not. https://blacktrax.cast-soft.com/downloads/

Warmest regards,

Yes, thank you for your answer.

We checked through Rttrp Reader.

But the symptoms are the same.

Also, the firewall is turned off.

Do we need additional settings?

The additional question is whether calibration is required, unlike Mo-Sys, when the connection with Blacktrax is successful.

As a result, what I want to do is use Blacktrax Beacon like Camera Tracker.

Thanks!

Hi,

Make sure when you add the channel, the Device name is the same as your camera's name in Blacktrax.

Also, make sure you gave the correct UDP port.
And set the Data Rate to your tracker's rate and the Interlaced option off if you are not using an interlaced system.

Mo-Sys has its own lens calibration system. It doesn't seem like Blacktrax has such a system.
You could make your own calibration using Aximmetry's calibrator ('Aximmetry.CameraCalib.exe')

Hi guys,

According to your method, I connected blacktrax and aximmetry without any problems. When I use the camera tracking node, I can control the rotation of the camera, but not the position of the camera. I am sure that aximmetry has received the data from blacktrax.

Hi,

You set up Tracking in the Inputs of the Camera compounds:

The Camera Tracking module is for internal use, or for custom logic, or for debugging, etc...

Please follow the documentation here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/green-screen-production/tracked-camera-workflow/inputs/
Or here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-virtual-sets-with-tracked-cameras/#inputs

Warmest regards,

Hi Eifert,

There may be some problems here. Regarding the RTTrP protocol of blacktrax analyzed by aximmetry, we use the blacktrax server to directly transmit the tracking data of optitrack to aximmetry. There is no problem with the tracking data of the camera, which contains position and rotation data. When we switch to the RTTrP protocol, aximmetry will not receive position data, but it is normal for us to be able to view all the data from the RTTrP Reader. Is this related to the protocol version of RTTrP? Over the years, BlackTrax has updated the RTTrP protocol several times.

Thanks!

Hi,

If you are using a similar software to the Tracking Adapter, then make sure that the Beacon position is turned on. And filtering is turned off:

If it is actually the rotation that you are not getting, then make sure the Orientation uses Quaternion instead of Euler:

If none of these solves your issue, then a screenshot of your adapter program and its settings could greatly help us in finding the source of the issue.

Warmest regards,
