Live Sync

Good day.

I am trying to run Live Sync over my local 10Gig network.

Running the Unreal Project on One Machine and Aximmetry on a Second Machine.

Is this possible to do ?

Your speedy response would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you can.
You will have to run Aximmetry on both machines to handle the synchronizations, but it should not be a problem.
You can find more information about multi machine setup here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-a-multi-machine-configuration/

Warmest regards,

Thank you so much for the response.

The reason I ask is that I am really struggling with performance and frame drops on my main Server.

This is my system Spec and and I have a RTX3090

I send a lot of time also optimizing my Unreal Scene but still I struggle on Basic environment

Do you any advise.

Right no I am considering running Multi GPU in Linked mode

or Running the Unreal Project on another server in Live Sync.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi,

Multi GPU is not supported by Unreal.
You can use multi GPU with Aximmetry's own renderer.

Is it only frame drops or do you see performance issues in the ProccessorLoad window?

Also, the Cooked mode can make the project run much faster than using Live Sync mode. If you don't have any specific reason for using Live Sync, you should use Cooked mode when you are in live production.

I generally used Cooked mode.

And most likely the processor load is very high and then I also experience dropped frames

Hi,

If the FPS is not fully green in the Processor Load cause of the high CPU usage, then you will experience frame drops.

You should probably find out what is using the CPU the most in your Unreal project and for that, you will probably want to use Unreal's Profiler Tool. https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-US/TestingAndOptimization/PerformanceAndProfiling/Profiler/
