Broadcast DE version- can't scale talent to scene- help please...

Hi:

I posted about this issue yesterday and maybe I was not too clear in my last post:

1) I am using a tracked camera.

2) I have my UE 4.26 scene in Aximmetry and I have my talent (live camera/green screen) in the scene, tracking, etc. all working great.

3) I (we) need the ability to adjust the scale, as well as the position of talent within the scene.  I used the scene transform for that, as usual (below from Aximmetry tutorial---  https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-virtual-sets-with-tracked-cameras/ ):

On the SCENE panel, you can align the orientation of the virtual set and the talent using the Base Cam Transf property.

IMPORTANT: do not confuse this property with the one on the STUDIO panel with the same name. The latter aligns the schematic studio model with the studio room, while this one places the talent within the virtual set.

This is all great and USED to work well, note the ability to adjust the scale, above...  but, Aximmetry has now removed this function (scale) for some reason, so I can't scale the talent (although I can move talent around, as before).  So- how do I scale my talent to my scene, as before??

Hi,

We recommend scaling the Unreal scene to the values of your tracking and camera input.
When setting up your scene try using real-world values and scales, because many basic settings in Unreal are calculated with that in mind.

Please find a solution to scale tracked talent.

@Eifert: Scaling the UE4 scene is completely impractical. Light in the scene won’t scale, so you would have to redo your lighting completely every time you need to adjust the scene. If the function was confusing before, make it less confusing instead of just removing it.

Hi all,

As of Aximmetry version of 2021.4.1, the Scene scaling has been reintroduced.

"Added Scene Scale property to the SCENE panel of TrackedCam / MixedCam / LEDWall compounds. It is intended to replace the lately removed Scale option in the Base Cam Transf property."
More on changes in 2021.4.1: https://aximmetry.com/learn/software-version-history/

We still recommend that you do your projects without changing the scale property. And every scale and distance is equivalent to the real-world values of your studio.

We apologize for any inconvenience from the previous changes.

Warmest regards,

;
