Hey, i have a problem with recording footage with a proper bitrate as defined.
For some reason it seems that aximmetry completely ignores what bitrate i set in the source video recording settings.
For instance i try record DNxHR @4k at 200Mbps and it will record at 888Mbps which is an insanely high number
Same happens if i set bitrate to 1, it will still record at 888Mbps
Also goes the other way, if i try recording to H264 mp4 the bitrate will cap at 88Mbps and will be that number no matter what number i input to the bitrate field.
As far as my testing goes, the bitrate field doesn't do anything at all.
I tried updating the compounds but the result is the same, I'm completely unable to record to certain formats as 888Mbps footage I would need a fresh 2tb SSD just to shoot for an hour.
Is there any way to resolve this issue?
DNxHR is a fixed bitrate codec for any given resolution and frame rate. For example, DNxHR HQ is 833 Mb/s at UHD30p, so it makes sense that it would be 888Mbps at 4K. So, in this case it makes total sense that the manual bitrate settings does nothing. Maybe Aximmetry could include a choice of more DnX variants, like LB and SQ?

Regarding the H264 mp4 bitrate, you should indeed be able to adjust the bit rate, but depending on the profile it will cap out at a certain bit rate.
Aximmetry, we could really use some documentation on this!
