Record the timecode when I press a trigger in DE version

Hello,

When I am recording the data for the tracked camera, can I also record the timing of a triggered event?

Thank you.

Hi,

It is possible to set up such a Compound in the Flow. Aximmetry can easily save text, JSON, XML, or even LUT format into text files. In these formats or even in a simple text file you could save the timing of each trigger and read it.

Also, it is possible to save macros (View->Macros), which might be enough for your needs.

There is however no premade feature in tracked camera that could save an (arbitrary) trigger event with your tracked camera recording.

Warmest regards,

@Eifert: I think creating such a feature manually is beyond the skill level of most users. I think it’s a great idea to include a way to record and play back triggers as a standard feature.

I agree with this.

We often use Aximmetry for pre-recorded projects where we have regional versions of videos or even just re-recording sections. We manually fire events each time but being able to record and playback events would be a huge help.

Hi,

Can you describe a bit on what kind of events you would like to record and to what degree? This can help any future development.

Like, do you press buttons on the control board, changing values on the dashboard, changing pin values, etc... and like you would want to save all clicks and changes, or only some specific ones?

Warmest regards,

Hi,

@Eifert,  I have the same problem, I wanna record a trigger ,when press the button on the dashboard, a playing video on the TV screen will move or appear or disappear in the virtuals. Record the trigger actions, in the data stream (.xdata),and playback with the trigger actions or rerender with high quality cam video. How should I solve this problem?Could you do me a favor ?

Warmest regards,

Hi John,

Currently, .xdata can not record trigger actions.

The easiest solution to record actions is to record a macro along your event:

This will however record everything and will be hard to fix any sync issues in it.

If you want a more flexible solution, then you will have to save the trigger events into a file and later load it (e.g: Text exporter and Text file module). This is not an easy task to implement in the flow editor, but if you are familiar with it, it is achievable. And I can help with that.

Also, we have this on our request list and we will consider adding a solution for it in future releases.

Warmest regards,
