Currently, we have an experimental implementation for using ASIO for audio input.

If it is enabled, then the standard audio will not work, only the SDI or NDI audio outputs will function.

Originally, it was used for audio visualization.

For what purpose would you like to use ASIO (for input or output)?

 soundcards with more than 2 inputs or outputs which you cannot access them in WDM mode.

also DANTE and SOUNDGRIG which will be very useful for transferring audio through devices over the network

Any news about this?

In our latest release we Re-enabled using ASIO audio input devices via the  /asio command-line switch. Fixed crashes/malfunctioning of ASIO support. Also, we upgraded the ASIO SDK to v2.3. Please note that ASIO can only be used for input at the moment.

The output support will be added in one of our next releases.

I'm experiencing a lot of problems using direct sound audio outputs, after 10-20 minutes of use im getting clicks over the output, i cna only solve it by closing an opening the output.

It doesn't matter if I'm using an HDMI audio output, an internal soundcard or a usb one.

this problem is only on audio outputs and will not effect recording.

There is no overload in the system and all drivers are updated.

Asio driver is exclusive and will definitely solve the problem.

We are having an exact same problem with 8ch audient audio card. And regardless of the sound buffer in the Audient settings, after 15 minutes the sound starts quacking in the monitoring device. 

PLEASE! Any news on that front?

In order to solve it at least somehow, fe have set up a multifunction button in streamdeck which quickly disbles sound monitoring and immediately re-enables it. Then we are okay for another 15-20 minutes. But obviously it is far from ideal.

I am guessing you experience this even without ASIO. In the next major version of Aximmetry, the audio system will be updated in a way that will likely fix the quality problems.
