Disabling cam reflection

Hi guys!

I was wondering,  can I disable the reflection for one of my cameras (all the rest should still have reflection), and if so how?

Thank you!

Hi!

Yes, you can.

In the Inputs control board locate the Billboards for your desired camera (the camera where you want the reflection hidden).

Then press the power button to turn off the reflections you want to remove.

If you are using these Billboards to mask out virtual objects or you are using Virtual Cameras (in which case there are no power buttons), then try setting the Mirror Offset value of the Billboards to a value where the reflections are no longer visible, like -1000.

Warmest Regards

Thank you! Any idea how can I find this ?

I don't have this control board among my differnt panels .

I've tried changing the mirror ffset, yet nothing seemed to change.

Thanks again!

Hi,

If you have a different control board, then you are probably using a virtual camera. In my screenshot, I used a tracked camera compound.

Mirror offset probably does not work cause you are using Screen Space Reflections, we strongly recommend using Planar Reflections or Ray Tracing Reflections instead of Screen Space Reflections! More on that here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-aximmetry-de-users/how-to-install-and-work-with-the-unreal-engine-based-de-edition/#other-considerations
If you stick to Screen Space Reflections, then you won't be able to turn off reflection per billboard from Aximmetry Composer without adding blueprint modification in Unreal.

Warmest regards,
