21.3.0] Visibility doesn't work properly in unreal virtual camera

Hello Aximmetry

I installed 21.3.0 version and found VISIBILITY doesn't work properly in unreal virtual camera.

INPUT 1 and 2 shows up on camera 1 at the same time, and nothing on camera 2 even input 1 or 2 assigned to camera 2. I didn't try camera 3.

Hope you check this and let me know if it happened only to me.

Thanks

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Unfotunately I could not reproduce the issue.

Have you opened up the VirtualCam for modifications by any chance?
If yes, please try to use an unmodified factory instance of it.

Hello,

We are sorry for the issue. The VirtualCam_Unreal_A-B-C_Preview_3-Cam.xcomp compound needs to be updated (only this one, the other ones are working well).

We will fix the compound in our next release.

Please download the updated version of the file here: https://mab.to/p/vFDqMMxWKtnw

@Daniel@Aximmetry,

Would it be possible to share what the issue was? Because we are using a modified the 2021.2  VirtualCam_Unreal_A-B-C_Preview_3-Cam.xcomp. Were there changes implemented in the 2021.3 version?

Thanks!

Hi,

The issue is only present in the newest, 2021.3 release, so it is unlikely that it would be in your xcomp, however in any case it is relatively straightforward to fix it:

In the [Common_Studio]:Compounds\VirtualCam_Unreal\VirtualCam_Unreal_A-B-C_Preview_3-Cam.xcomp you have to change the three InputLine compounds' "Camera Number" pin to 3 from 8. If, in your version, the InputLine compounds don't have a pin named "Camera Number", then you are also free of this issue.

The precise names of the previously mentioned three InputLine compounds are "INPUT %N=1", "INPUT %N=2" and "INPUT %N=3". You can use these names to find the compounds using the global search function (Shift+F) after you've opened VirtualCam_Unreal_A-B-C_Preview_3-Cam.xcomp. I attached a screenshot where I've marked the important parts with a red rectangle. You can see where these compounds are and what pins you need to change.
