Aximmetry 2026

Hi Johan,
As you may know, we typically do not provide exact release dates. However, a new version (Aximmetry 2026.2.0), which will include many updates, is to be released within 1-2 months. There is also a possibility that this version will include support for Unreal version 5.7.
Warmest regards,
good morning Eifert@Aximmetry,
Thanks for reply. i have another question please. any idea about developing Aximmetry Eye for Android users? because we need it and in our country Iphone or Ipad costs too much. Thank you
Hi,
We have tested it, but the quality of the tracking was very poor, even on high-end Android devices. Therefore, it is not on our current roadmap.
Warmest regards,
Hi Huseen,
Could you clarify what specific updates you're interested in regarding Motion Design? Did you mean that Unreal Engine version 5.7 will include motion design-related updates that will be useful?
Warmest regards,
An aside to this topic: How does that affect Multi Machine setups? We have a current Broadcast DE License for a single workstation, we are within the maintenance period and would like to remain on 2025.3.0. for the time being until Epic come to their senses and introduce a reasonably priced licensing model for people that aren't Holly- Nolly- or Bollywood. Now what would we need to actually buy if we wanted to expand our current production platform with 2025.3.0 into a multi machine setup? Is there a time limit on how long you can issue more 2025.3.0 licenses with the old UE license terms to existing users?
Hi Stefan,
You can’t purchase licenses for older releases, so you can’t buy a 2025.3.0 license. You can only purchase licenses for the latest Aximmetry version; this has always been the policy.
In Multi-Machine setups, you typically don’t need AX Scene Editor on the remote machines. In most cases, AX Scene Render Node is sufficient. A machine running AX Scene Render Node does not include the Unreal Editor itself, which means:
- The Unreal project won’t be usable in Live Sync on that machine, because the Unreal Editor can’t be launched there.
- Your graphics artist can’t use that computer to edit the scene in Unreal.
However, Cooked and Editor Data modes will still work. Also, receiving Multi-User Editing on an AX Scene Render Node machine will still work.
More information is available here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/which-aximmetry-is-right-for-you/aximmetry-render-components/
Regarding your other post in the other thread: if your graphics artist will use a computer that is also part of the Multi-Machine setup (and you’re already saving on hardware by combining roles), you will probably want AX Scene Editor on that workstation, and AX Scene Render Node on the other machines that are used only as render nodes.
If the artist uses Aximmetry only occasionally, you could also consider a Rental license for the specific month(s) needed.
The option to use the free Studio DE version for this type of artist work is no longer available. However, Studio (paid Rental Studio license) is still available, and it may cost less depending on how long the artist will need the license (or how often you plan to rent it).
The same approach can apply to Multi-Machine setups as well: depending on the production, Studio (Rental) may be enough for some machines. That said, most Multi-Machine productions, such as the ones with professional tracking or LED Walls, require a Broadcast license for each machine. Broadcast is also available as a Rental option. This was largely the same even before the recent licensing changes.
Warmest regards,
Hi,
Aside from the changes in Unreal naming and licensing, there are no other differences between versions 2025.3.0 and 2026.1.0. You can use the older versions if you previously obtained a license for them, and you can use the new versions if you have purchased an Aximmetry Lifetime License (not a rental license) and are currently within your maintenance period.
Future updates will apply to the 2026 version, and all updates will continue to include the AX Scene Editor or AX Scene Render Node options.
Warmest regards,
