Objects flicker when switching camera in Unreal

Hello,

Something is happening to me while working on a project. When I change the camera path, it looks like elements in the scene are flickering. This doesn’t happen in other projects. Could it be some kind of lighting issue in Unreal?

I’m attaching a video where you can see it.

Thank you very much

Hi,

It’s possible that screen-space reflections are causing this issue. To test this, try turning off reflections and see if the problem persists. If it does, you could use Planar Reflections instead, which we recommend in any case. You can learn more about reflections and Planar Reflections here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/green-screen-production/aximmetry-de-scene-setup-green-scre#planar-reflections-1

There can also be other reasons for this issue. Many rendering features in Unreal Engine require several frames to recalculate when switching to a different camera view. The Aximmetry camera blueprints handle many of these cases, but there are situations where it is impossible to eliminate the problem completely.
The best approach is to first identify which Unreal Engine feature is causing the issue, and then we can look for a specific solution.

Warmest regards,

Thank you very much, Eifert. I found the problem and was able to fix it. By comparing several projects—some that flickered and others that didn’t—I discovered that the Support Hardware Ray Tracing and Generate Mesh Distance Fields options affected the project in this way. Finally, with this configuration, the quality is maintained and there’s no flickering.
