Virtual Screen Asset with Alpha?

Hi there.

I'm using the VirtualScreen in 2025.1.0.
Is there any way to make the Screen transparent based on the alpha channel of the texture?
This is how I wired things in UE:
Virtual Screen Asset with Alpha?

But when I feed a Black/NoAlpha Texture in Axy, I still get a solid black plane, rather than full transparency (i.e. making the Visual Screen completely invisible)
What am I doing wrong?

Cheers & all the best.

Eric.

Hi Eric,

Unfortunately, the method used to remove anti-aliasing (AA) does not support transparency. You will encounter the same issue if you use Unreal's Media Plate with its anti-aliasing removal (the Overlay Composite Material).
Instead, I would recommend following the General Method described here:
https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content-for-aximmetry-de/advanced-information-and-features/virtual-screens-in-unreal-from-aximmetry/#general-method

Warmest regards,
